| Better known for his acoustic and electronica output, Kalle Ryan returns with an inaccessible, pretentious piece of rubbish known as The Rambler. Using experimental instrumentation and an alter ego of dubious motivation, he fills a CD full of idiotic banter about language and communication. And while this sort of recording usually has an air of fun about it, Kalle Ryan decides instead to play it dead straight and thus alienate any potential kitsch value. Clearly intended as a grand commentary on society today, it unravels as a poorly thought out piece of prog rock twaddle. Stay away if you value your sanity. (1 out of 5) |
